The musical
talents in GVLC's music ministries use their voices
to praise and worship God. The many musical ministries
here at GVLC bless our worship services and offer praises
to God.
Children
(preschool - grade 3)
Come
sing with us! Your children in kindergarten
through grade 6 are invited to lift their voices in
praise to God every Wednesday from 6:15-6:45 pm in the
Children's Choir. Celebration Singers is for children
grades 4-6, and King's Kids is for children in kindergarten
through grade 3. Several times throughout the year,
these choirs bless our worship services by singing praises.
Youth
High
School Praise Band
"Jammin' for
Christ" is a musical group, consisting of a rhythm section
and a line up of vocalists, for grades 9 - 12. The group
meets weekly to select songs and work on musical ideas.
This group performs in the spring at our 10:30 am service.
Adults
Praise
Band
The core of the Praise band is comprised
of 6 professional local musicians: Aimee Fischer and
Kathy Mueller (vocals), Mark Mueller (keyboards), Scott
Nelson (drums, vocals), Andy LaCasse (bass & vocals)
and Joe Demko (guitar & vocals). To enhance various
services, gospel singers and key instrumentalists are
added to the group. This talented group provides the
music for our 10:30 am service each Sunday.
Sanctuary
Choir
Our Sanctuary
Choir, accompanied by organist Spencer Schuldt, is a
mixture of men and women who have a love of singing,
a desire to praise God, and a willingness to serve our
church in this very special ministry. No audition is
required, and this choir is open to everyone over the
age of 14. The Sanctuary Choir sings at most of our
Celebration services, some Praise services, and also
sings at a Christmas service in December. The musical
and spiritual fellowship of this ministry is enhanced
by frequent participation in exchanges with other church
choirs and at special events. Rehearsals are Wednesday
evenings from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Choir Room. For more

Golden
Valley Brass
The Golden
Valley Brass usually consists of a quartet (2 trumpets,
French horn, trombone), but sometimes a tuba or timpani
is added when needed. These musicians accompany
congregational hymn singing once a month, play for selected
Sanctuary Choir anthems, and present incidental music
on special occasions. Rehearsals are held Wednesday
evenings from 6:00-6:45 PM . For more information

Gospel
Choir
Our Gospel
Choir is a group of members who all share the love of
praising God and singing to a soulful beat. All ages
are welcome to join, and the group performs several
times throughout the year at the 10:30 am service.
Occasional Choirs
Do you enjoy singing God's praises but can't commit
to a weekly choir? Then, one of our "occasional choirs"
may be for you! These choir groups perform every other
month, and meet for 2 - 30 minute rehearsals before
singing. The Joy Singers is our women's
group. This group sings a variety of music, including
contemporary, traditional and some music in parts. The
GVLC Men's Choir especially enjoys
the old gospel songs, but also performs some more contemporary
and traditional music. Both choirs are combined each
year to perform on Holy Thursday. For more information,
